the history of a decade could be told

through it's most important pictures?

These 8th grade advanced L.A. students were charged with the task of researching an assigned decade between the 1950-1990's. They would  present their research in a photo essay that depicted the 5 most important events from that decade. Students worked in groups of 5 to research their decade and choose, in their opinion, the five most important events in the decade. After the students selected one event, they needed to find pictures that illustrated their event enhancing the pictures with a historically accurate caption for each photo. All their photos were placed into a program called Comic Life and created a comic book about their decade.
